touch screen's a no no for me... I hate smudges on my camera, more if it's on the LCD! With the hot weather here in Malaysia (SEA) I can't imagine a person keeping his'her hand clean enough to eave no smudges on the screen... smile detect, well, it's a funny thing... ultra wide angle lens, if they keep the distortion down, it will be a winner for sure!

well let's just wait for the day when one of the manufacturers come up with a smudge-resistant screen. but ultra-wide angle is the way to go~

There is a simple remedy for touch screen devices to have a smudge free LCD, just put on a screen protector. Not only will it be smudge free, it will give protection from scratches. And also having an ultra-wide angle lens like 25 or 28mm has it's draw backs, if you want to take a picture of the subject you will have to adjust constantly to go near it because if you just point and shoot you'll end up with a photo with a tiny subject engulfed by a huge scenery. I think it would be best if they can combine a wide angle lens with the standard 35mm ones, or have a setting to switch between them.
