Digicam accessories: A blizzard of the bizarre
Accessories let your camera go a long way and, in some cases, zoom further. But things can get bland when everyone starts digging out the same old dross from their bags. Think about how lively things will get when you start ripping out your own Uzi-mounted camera or paper-cut lens hood, even.
Gorillapod flexes muscles again
It would seem that the time is ripe to go bananas with the heavy-duty Gorilla. It now lifts a weight of up to 3kg and your own tripod head. That's good news for photogs with bulky lenses. Like previous versions, the Gorillapod SLR-Zoom also has three flexible "legs" with rubber grips.

Power wherever you go
Who still uses AA-sized batteries these days? But, hey, you never know. You wouldn't want to be caught in a situation where your cells run out of juice. It takes only 15 minutes to fully charge two pieces of nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries on this honey.

Zigview's finder goes the extra mile

The Zigview's new S2 Digital Angle Finder lets you tilt and rotate the LCD display for viewing at almost any angle and you can do so from as far as 10m (with extension cable) or relay the video feed live to a remote monitor using the TV-out connection.

Time for some real shooting
Get rid of handshake like how an assassin would do it… with a rifle mount. Some may call it a peace application of warfare technology, but for us, the Fotosniper simply spells kick ass. It comes complete with a rifle mount and shoulder stock so you can stabilize the camera against your body and minimize handshake.

Energizer goes PC
In an effort to appeal to the "tech-wired and wireless younger generation," Energizer has announced the Energizer Duo, a charger that plugs into the USB port on your computer--or a wall outlet (thus the "Duo" name, get it?), though we're skeptical about the time it will take to fully juice up through USB.

Buy a lens hood? Heck, print it for free
Lens hoods can improve your shots by screening out glare from the sun or other light sources. But those hoods, when not included with the lens, can cost tens or even hundreds of dollars. But you can get them for free, as long as you don't mind a little arts and crafts action. Sure, they're not as durable and don't attach as securely as the real thing, but you can always print another one.
