Photokina 2006 at a glance

Every two years, nearly everyone who is in the photographic and imaging industry will congregate in Cologne, Germany, for the Photokina tradeshow. Visitors to this week-long event will be able to catch a glimpse of what's to come for imaging media, technologies and markets for both consumers and professionals. The trade fair is also a platform for various manufacturers to showcase their latest products and provide insight to upcoming trends.

Mark September 26 to October 1 on your calendar for this is one show you won't want to miss. As usual, we'll bring you up-to-date compilation of all (well, nearly) the latest and hottest digital cameras on the horizon.

In the month-long lead-up to Photokina, several vendors have consecutively announced their newest offerings. Here's a quick rundown.
