Great Entry Level Camera

Opinion:
I owned this cam over slightly over a year now and I must say that this camera is one great entry level camera to shoot with. True the kit lens isn't impressive but when one buy a dslr, they buy it with full knowledge that they will have to source for other lenses to acheive better pics.

For those who complain that canon's lens are too expensive, I'd challenge them to go find cheaper lenses with Nikon or Sony. Canon's lenses are amongst the cheapest in the market. If you can't afford the lens, don't buy a dslr.

Weight wise, I'd say yes this camera is a lil' lighter but that to me is a pro instead of a cons. With the L lenses which can pack quite a weight, who needs a body that add to the weight hanging around your neck when you go out on a photowalk???

All in all, for amateurs, this camera serves more than it's purposes... for professionals, this camera serves as an excellent second body to bring around on photowalks... :)
