User Review for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7

Brilliant!!! Excellent camera even in poor light!!!

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Fab image stabilsation even at long telephoto, slow speeds
Cons: Viewfinder (not screen) a little pixilated
Opinion:
Have reviewers tried the 'fine' picture setting? I have tried evening telephoto shots at slow shutter speeds and I can't discern any noise even in shadow areas on the standard ordinary picture quality camera setting viewed on a quality 19" LCD monitor. This is by far the most best and most successful camera I've owned, nearly always focuses correctly and gets exposure right practically everytime.

Autobalance in photo processsing software usually makes no adjustment, and if anything, a slight (standard) increase in colour saturation gets colours absolutely spot on.
Sharpening pictures isn't necessary.

I can understand reviewers thinking pictures just slightly flat colourwise, but this is simple to adjust either in camera or when viewing on computer.

I can't rate the image stabilisation too highly. I've taken many handheld shots that wouldn't otherwise have been possible.

The only reason I've given it 9 is the viewfinder resolution, but Panasonic have put it right in the Lumix FZ8.

If I want night shots,I'll use my (heavy!!)Pentax 35mm SLR !!!

Outside of night shots, It's taken my photography (as an experienced photographer)up several or more steps to new heights and even surprised me how good (as in professional quality) the results it gives.

I can't believe most of the reviews. This camera is way way far better. Just try the multiple burst mode or take hundreds of photos. The photo quality is absolutely outstanding!!!!
