User Review for Canon Digital IXUS 850 IS
Smooth appearance and smooth performance
Jul 7, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Very convenient to use, beauthiful appearance
Cons: Flimsy 'doors', potentially scratch-prone
Opinion:
After many years away from Canon (my last Canon was a Canon A1/f1.4 - 35mm film camera purchased in 1978) and in the interim using Olympus and Nikon point and shoot film and latterly digital cameras - I have at last returned to Canon.
The Digital IXUS 850 is a beautiful camera to carry around and use. It makes me feel good to use it and it takes very good photgraphs. I was completely unprepared for the quality of the video it produces also.
So far I have produced about 1,000 photos over a period of 3 months. I have no specific criticisms other than the chrome-plated plastic doors covering the battery compartment and connectors which are flimsy.
