This is an excellent camera at an affordable price

Pros: Almost impossible to take a bad picture
Cons: No zoom function in movie mode
Opinion:
This is an ideal camera for amateurs - reasonably priced and full of functions to make taking photos simple on any occasion. Framing your subject is no problem - you don't even have to get close - 8.3 mega pixels means you can zoom and crop to your heart's content. Low-light photography is a breeze thanks to the high shutter speeds that are available. The f40 also has a crystal clear display and excellent battery life, the only thing that really lets it down is its movie mode -no zoom!!
