User Review for Canon Digital IXUS 850 IS

Great Point & Shoot Camera

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Stylish design, pocket sized, excellent build quality, quick start up, image stabilization, and more.
Cons: Battery and D/C door panels seems flimsy, SD card mechanism not top notch.
Opinion:
After owning 2 Sony Digital Cameras with no image stabilization, I decided that my new cam this year got to have that nifty feature.

I have owned the 850 IS for over 2 weeks now, and I liked it a lot. If you just want something that is simple to use, and don't want to bother about manual controls, then I highly recommend this one. It has great resolution, image stabilization, face tracking, interesting scene modes, good movie mode, fast start up, everything you want in a small fire-cracker of a pocket camera.

The only downside in my opinion will be the battery and D/C door panels. They are a bit flimsy, and should not be made of cheap plastic to simulate metallic, and they should be spring loaded. The only other thing is the SD card mechanism. It is not the best I have seen out there. The SD card do get stuck sometimes.

All in all, it is one of the best choices out there now!
