SX1 + SX10is = Nikon P90 ?

It took canon a long time to come out with a decent zoom camera.....but is it too little too late? For a person who started with a 3x zoom and upgraded to 10x but wanted more, the 20x offering from canon was a welcome relief.
But than before i could grab one down came Nikon with P90 with 24x zoom and 12mp offer.
And by Olympus is even ahead with a 26x offering.
I wonder should i wait for a 15mp 30x zoom or would that be too much to ask for...
Its a difficult wait.....
Canon sx1 or Nikon p90

Optical zoom or megapixels on nikon may be more than canon sx1 but what matters is how your image is processed.canon sx1 has cmos sensor which the mid to high end slr's have like canon 450d, 50d etc where as nikon hasn't clarified what type of prosessor they are sporting in nikon p90.
presencve of cmos sensor makes the images more superior, as its the type of sensor on which the quality of the image depends not on megapixels or optical zoom.
CMOS CCD

Yeah d Canon SX1is definately sports a cmos sensor which is presimebly better than ccds. But given my experience with cmos based Canons 400-D in comparison to a older ccd based Kodak, i would say that at this price level it won't work wonders.
Anyways, when it comes to picture quality, Nikon has always been the leader.
Let us wait and see some sample pictures of P90 and then decide if Canons cmos beats the undecleared Nikon chip in P90.
