sony A 200 dslr

had a olympus EV 420 on trial for a few days- hated it- the shutter lag was unacxceptable in the live view mode, allowing you to use LCD away from the body focusing- cfould not be used for action shots in this mode at all-- when using optical viewfinder mode ( eye against camera) there is NO shutter lag. the live view feature is good only for posed or stationary no, movement photos-- period.. The old SLR is just rewinvented as a DSLR - still have to use the optical viewfinder mode, rather than a the LCD mode to compose , if you wish NO shutter lag. Am now going to try the sony A 200 wqhich does even bother with live view as a option to take photos- just the optical viewfinder is used. Instantanious shutter responce, is what sony promises.. i hope so - will see what ensues. The grip on the sony A 200 is more pronounced than the one on the olympus ev 420 -and hopefully that will make it less unweidly - Also the A 200 has a bigger sensor than the EV 420 ( 17 vs. 23) and the additional Tele lens is 300mm instead of 150mm w/ the EV 420- weighs the same. these are just some of the obvious differances-- The only reason to even fool with a DSLR from my subjective stand point is to get rid of SHUTTER LAG -- lets see what ensues. hal5141Jump to page: [1]
