Stop criticizing the Ixus series for not having manual controls!

Every time I read a CNet review on a Canon Ixus, it is slammed for not having manual controls.Come on. It is a point-and-shoot model. Its ability to have a shutter speed manually set through its long shutter mode is already a far cry from others in its class like the Sony T series and other compacts from Nikon or Fujifilm.
