Free Wi-Fi for Indonesia's N-series users
Aug 3, 2007 15:08Nokia Indonesia offers free Wi-Fi connection for N-series users by establishing a project called "1,000 Nokia NSeries WiFiZone".
Nokia has teamed up with the three giant network and Internet providers, Telkom, IM2 and CBN. Nokia signed the joint agreement today with IM2 and CBN, after a similar agreement with Telkom two months ago.
Just by registering their N-series mobile phones' IMEI, especially with an Indonesian market warranty, N-series users can enjoy free hotspots provided by the partners.

"All Indonesian N-series users can easily browse Internet, read blogs or post comments without entering a login or password into the Wi-Fi login page," said Hasan Aula, general manager, Nokia Indonesia.
The free hotspot will be opened on August 17, 2007, until December 31. "Free WiFiZone is the way to educate mobile phone users to drive Internet usage on-the-go," said Ermady Dahlan, Telkom director.
Nokia also launched a community site for the country's N-series users, Cooldesak.com. The site offers blogging, a forum, the latest news and chatting features.
