Puma mobile phone to debut in five days

Popular sports equipment brands Nike and Adidas have their electronic training systems in the form of Nike+ and miCoach, respectively. It looks like their competitor Puma is going to take it one step further with a mobile phone. A teaser site located at www.pumaphone.com shows a countdown timer for five days, which should coincide with the Mobile World Congress tradeshow in Barcelona.

MobileCrunch dug up a few more details and a photo which shows a solar panel on the device. It will apparently also have GPS, a pedometer, a music player and be called the Puma Phone (not that it isn't already obvious from the URL).

We'll be onsite at Barcelona for the big show and will attempt to bring you more information about said phone then.
