Ok, we get it. There's going to be a PlayStation Portable Phone after all, and it's going to arrive on December 9 according to a mystery invite. And since April 1 is some ways off, the latest buzz and spy vid now circulating the big bad Web may finally hold a glimmer of truth.
That said, it's been a long time coming, from when CNET Asia's senior editor first Craved about it back in 2006, to a supposed leak in October, and now actual sightings. In all, that's four very long years on our radar awaiting the coming of the PSP Phone.
With the December deadline just a sneeze away, let's hope the Z1 (what it appears to be dubbed as), coming under the Sony Ericsson marque and rumored to run on the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, will turn up at its own party. Other specs that have been tossed around include a 4-inch touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, and an app store. The question is, when and if the PSP Phone does materialize, would you buy it, and can it tackle the iPhone's addictive game system?
