Apple iPhone 3GS evening launch in Singapore
Jul 10, 2009
Singaporeans got the new, faster iPhone 3GS on July 10. CNET Asia was on location to bring you pictures of the event.
Unlike last year when people in the queue were simply waiting and doing nothing, SingTel has three new experience zones this time round. We were told that this was introduced so those in the line would have something to look forward to while being moved between the various holding areas. SingTel expects the venue to be able to contain between 1,500 and 2,000 people. This number includes those who have pre-ordered the iPhone 3GS as well as walk-in customers. Groups of 20 to 30 people will be ushered into the experience zones at a time.
The first stop is actually the validation station where the people are tagged according to their queue position. The picture above shows the first experience zone where they will get to learn more about the new features on the iPhone 3GS.
