T-Mobile unveils first Google phone
Sep 24, 2008
Somewhat similar to the iPhone's, the home screen of the G1 has icons for favorites, contacts, a Web browser, and Google Maps, and it has plenty of room for the icons of applications developed for the Android Market.
Existing applications include the Eco Reo, which allows you to track your carbon footprint to be a better global citizen, and Shop Savvy, which helps people find the best prices on retail items.
Unlike Apple's iPhone, the G1 has a Sidekick-like slide-out keyboard.
