T-Mobile unveils first Google phone

The G1, aka HTC Dream, looks like a Sidekick and is all about Google. In New York, the first phone to use Google's Android operating system is revealed.
On Tuesday in New York, T-Mobile USA unveils the first smart phone to use Google's mobile operating system, Android. HTC's chief executive, Peter Chou, is joined by Andy Rubin, Google's senior executive director of mobile platforms, and Christopher Schläffer, T-Mobile group product and innovation officer, on stage to show off the phone, which comes in three colors.
