Showcasing the drool-worthy
Winner's trophy for inaugural F1 night race unveiled
Sep 18, 2008
The tapered core of the trophy is carved from solid billet using a computer-controlled machine. It is made up of three portions with the mid section twisted at an angle to create an additional dimension. From the picture, you can also see pewter panels of different sizes and finishes. These are individually fixed onto the core. The red section of the core is supposed to reflect the energy and excitement of the race. Holding all these up is a base that's designed to resemble a steering wheel.
