Bad Boy Buggies makes four-wheel drive, electric all-terrain vehicles.
The company, based in Natchez, Miss., claims that its vehicles can offer fuel savings of 80 percent compared to those powered by gasoline alone. The off-road buggies are billed as eco-friendly because they move silently through the wilderness without belching polluting, fossil-fuel fumes. Competitors include Barefoot Motors. Electric vehicle start-ups at the conference also showed off motorbikes and scooters in various stages of design and production.
