Showcasing the drool-worthy
A 16x HD display showcase at CommunicAsia 2008
Jun 16, 2008
NHK, the Japanese broadcaster, brought its Ultra High-Definition TV system to CommunicAsia. We got a chance to watch its engineers set it up.
Here's the skeleton of the exhibit. The sound system is the first thing to be installed onto it. This is a 22.2-channel system, which means there are two subwoofers on the ground and 22 speakers mounted around the top.
(Correction: We previously stated in the headline that this was a 32x display. This is incorrect and has been amended to 16x.)
