Electric vehicles you can buy right now
Sep 5, 2007
The eBox from AC Propulsion is a converted Scion xB 5-speed. It debuted in December 2006, and the company delivered its first car to its first customer (Tom Hanks) in February 2007. The company is currently taking orders, though deliveries on vehicles are already booked through December, so you may have to wait. With Scion xB models no longer available new, the company is considering using another model in the future, according to AC Propulsion CEO Tom Gage.
"Remember ours seats four, the Tesla only seats two. So we're a better deal per seat," he said jokingly.
