Fuel cell battery for notebooks: The UltraCell25 is one of the first fuel cell battery solutions introduced for notebooks. Expected to be out later this year, it operates based on the Reformed Methanol Fuel Cell technology and is rated to last for up to 14 hours per fuel cartridge. Each fuel cartridge, which is expected to cost less than US$5, is swappable but can only be refilled by the vendor. The UltraCell25 unit is expected to cost more than US$500.
