CES 2012
It is becoming a trend to associate most products with 3D to make them more appealing. The latest LG BH9420PW home-theater-in-a-box (HTIB) kit is no exception. It is one of the four 3D HITBs to be showcased at CES 2012, which are designed to complement the company's Cinema 3D smart TVs.

At the heart of the whole system is a proprietary 3D Sound Zooming technology that synchronizes the onscreen 3D actions to introduce depth in the original movie soundtracks. The spatial effects are further strengthened by four top-firing drivers on top of standard 5.1-channel speakers to deliver a 9.1-channel output.

LG is also suggesting that these features will expand the listening sweet spot, though we haven't been fans of such virtual surround systems. Nevertheless, built-in smart TV is the other key feature for this HTIB that's slated for launch in March. More information should be available closer to CES.
