General Electric's range of cameras may not be well-known in Singapore, but the company is hoping to break into the local market with its booth at the ongoing Singapore tech bazaar COMEX 2011 with a wide range of compact cameras. Some interesting models include the GE PJ1 which has an inbuilt projector and the tough GE DV1 weather-sealed pocket camcorder.

Two newcomers that stand out from the rest are the G100 and E1410SW long-zoom compacts which are fitted with new Aptina A-Pix CMOS sensors. GE claims that the Aptina sensors provide improved high ISO noise performance similar to backside-illuminated (BSI) sensors, but at a more affordable price to consumers.

The G100 and E1410SW feature a 15x and 10x optical zoom lenses respectively. Capable of 1080p full-HD video capture, both snappers offer shutterbugs full manual control.

Available at special prices at COMEX, Shutterbugs will be able to pre-order the G100 at S$299 (RRP: S$369) and the E1410SW at S$289 (RRP: S$349). However, if you can't make it to COMEX, the cameras will only be available in November.
