Naim, which manufactures high-end hi-fi components, has just unveiled its new flagship network media player. The NDS promises to deliver the finest musical performance and has been built like a tank with a few notable features.
Aside from the NDS's beefy metal chassis, the player also supports up to two external power supply units to minimize interference and boost performance. Other highlights include onboard Internet radio , iOS device-compatibility, music streaming from networked devices and a free remote app.
Connectivity-wise, there're three digital audio inputs, a USB port and integrated Wi-Fi to supplement an Ethernet socket for Web access. The Naim NDS will be launched in May and will cost US$10,000. Click here to find a Naim retailer in your country if you're not deterred by the hefty price.
