Lucky Strike

The name LUCKY STRIKE comes from the Mail Art movement as exercised by the late Ray Johnson. Lucky Strike is obsessed with sample-based music and will perform at any venue for any price. He uses Sony ACID and Ableton Live. Please book him, he will single-handedly make your party a sweaty success.
The album Guilty Context is Lucky Strike's sophomore effort, and the polish and complexity derived from experience is a clear contrast to his first work. It is designed as one gapless work split into tracks for convenience and to separate ideas, like pages in a journal. The story continues, with each day unique. The reasoning behind every second of the album is completely planned, meticulously compiled and composed. There is meaning in every combination, every coincidence. There are no accidents in this work, only art. Close listening and deconstruction will reveal many truths and secrets about the artist himself.
There are 222 separate samples in this work, spanning over 50 minutes, separated into 16 tracks. At any one time, there may be two to twelve songs playing simultaneously.
Only conversation with the artist would reveal all that the album has to offer, it's spiraling complexity was designed to mimic a diary. What he feels, he composes; a journal disguised as a dance track - a novelty. This dichotomy within the album's path is a parallel contradiction, one reflected between the work, and the situations and society that helped create it.
The suggestion that an album that offers such bumping, dirty, sweaty groves and wild combinations of Popular and Indie music may offer deep insight into the human condition at first does not seem plausible. However, at further study, the listener may uncover deep truths about their own lives, and advice for their own problems. The album is a fossil of secrets, pure happiness and absolute despair. The listener is an archaeologist. Have fun discovering the truth about the artist, while dancing nonstop.
