Started in early 1992. Initially influenced by the creepy ambient tracks of such bands such as Skinny Puppy, Clock DVA, Etc.
As time progressed and we discovered more of the noise scenem the sound developed or perhaps fell apart and went into harsher areas of noise and sonic texture. Hugley influenced by the likes of Merzbow, MSBR, Incapacitants, Masonna, MSBR, Etc.
Our first release was in 1993 with the "Big Audio Vomit" Cassette, a live basement recording that only 10 of which were distributed. Side two if B.A.V. showed up as the B-side of out first proper album. the 1995 Cassette, "He wanted a drill" Featuring mainly cutup ambient audio collages with a creepy, yet often absurd and humourous vibe.
This album gathered a moderate amount of play at local industrial clubs, college radio and the like, as did several tracks made throughout the next few years that would finally be released on 2002's broken electronics double CD. A disjointed mash-up of material recorded over the past 7 years with styles ranging from drone, harsh noise, ambient, beats, etc.
Released at the same time as broken electronics was the single CD album "Arizona" featuring 5 long tracks of pure harsh noise recorded over the past 10 years. This album was generally more well recived than broken electronics among noise fans.
2007 sees the release of a new mini-CD release "Byte changer" the first 100% digital noisework of fILT. Featuring extremley harsh, glitchy and short blasts of noise and sonic texture.
