Pedro Winter was right to name himself Busy P. Life before launching the most hyped electronic music label this year was hectic enough--with his managing the careers of Daft Punk, Cassius, and now Justice. He also produces his own tracks, which fall somewhere between Mr. Oizo and Mr. Flash.

Something about Busy P's "Rainbow Man" brings the old PBS show 3-2-1 Contact to mind. Perhaps it's the sense of wide-eyed discovery. Perhaps there's something in the descending synth line that stirs memories of the theme song. Whatever the case, this track off Ed Rec Vol 2 is as head-bobbingly addictive as anything Ed Banger Records has smacked us with thus far.
