Inspired by A Reader's Digest Great World Atlas and using names from its Acknowledgements page, this album tries to take the best parts of different genres- rock, pop, folk, hip-hop, experimental, jazz, old time music, and bossa nova; and combines them to form a new sound.
Acknowledgements is intended as a free release, with a very small amount of limited edition physical copies. The regular album is fully downloadable through this site. It follows a long line of albums released by me, Trevor Wilson.
People have called this music weird, people have called it poppy. I'd like to think it's taking some risks, while also being widely enjoyed. This is a difficult thing to attempt. But I think it's something worth trying. I'm always excited to hear your comments on what you think of the music. Send me a message at retrotrev at hotmail.com.
