The professional career of DJ Vital started in 1991, although the first time when he stood at the decks was in 1986: together with his father also a DJ. And already at the beginning of nineties he started creating music himself. At the moment Vital is mostly concerned with producing of his own music and performing DJ sets which are not particularly tied up with one certain style: it varies from deep/tech/ jazzy house to breaks and downtempo. 1992 – 1994 Vital is a member of a band called "New Fashion", which plays synth-pop and electro. The band records an album and is touring over Latvia. 1993 DJ Vital opens a club called"Pagrabs"(Basement) where he is the resident DJ. Organized concerts at the place are in "indie" style, also featuring DJ's playing industrial, techno and house music. Vital starts to gather his own band – "Bacterium",whose main style-line becomes industrial. The band’s activities are inspired by "Nine Inch Nails", "Front Line Assembly" and of course "Depeche Mode" and "Kraftwerk". During next 5 years band is touring around Latvia and all the Baltic States. The band issues two albums and three singles. "Bacterium" is named as the best band playing industrial music in the territory of ex-Soviet Union. Vital establishes "W-records" studio. He is participating as a musician and producer in many famous Latvian projects such as „Yaputhma Sound System”, „Alexandroid” and many others. 1995 DJ Vital begins to record electrical–accoustic experiments together with Pan Kuznec in a project called "Trilobitum Coitus". The team is giving loads and loads of concerts in Latvia and Baltic States. "Trilobitum Coitus" is taking part at music festivals such as „Biosport” (Latvia), „New Theory Of Jazz” (Latvia, Lithuania), „Frosh – Air” (Latvia), „Tabuns” (Latvia) and also movie–projects and theater shows. So far „Trilobitum Coitus” have got 4 albums (3 studio albums, one live album) and an EP. 1998 A project called "Oriola" is founded by Vital and his friend Le Zzz. The project becomes well known and beloved both in Latvia and across it’s borders. In a short while after that Vital organizes the DJ unit and music label "Quadrat Musique". The concept of the music label is about producing electronic music, promoting talented artists and organizing DJ label participant' sets all over the Latvia. At the moment the are seven more DJ's in the label including Vital and Le Zzz. Vital establishes another project under the name "Vital Trio". It is a synthesis of electronic musical & rhythmic basis and jazzy vocal with live sax and flute. "Vital Trio" is: DJ Vital (turntables, electronics), distinguished musician Deniss Pashkevich (sax, flute) and vocalist Raily Orrava. 1999-2003 DJ Vital is producing all the releases by "Quadrat Musique" and making number of remixes, including on Yana Kay „Begi”, „The Ball” by Time After Time, Mumiy Troll „Bez Obmana”, Janis Stibelis „Live My Life”, „I Wanna” by Marie N, „Colder” by Brainstorm and others.

BREAKBOOSTER project presents the collaboration between two famous underground Latvian artists: DJ VITAL and DIGITANZ (Paul Kalinin, "Cancercells Lab"). Two absolutely different ways of music production is combined in this project. "Experimental breaks" - this is the most closest direction of these two guys creativity!
