An idea first conceived in 1994, sadsometime is a small home recording project hoping to bring the ethereal raw sound of art and music to their listeners. Natives of Georgia, Kirk and Kevin Checkwood have experimented with music since 1985. Both have played in bands including Dead is Dead (1985), The Electric Avocado (1986-1988), Translucent Shadow (1988-1989), Brenda Finds a Lump (1991), Iris (1991-1995), Tremble (1993), Sister Sleep (1995-1996), And Then They Said (1996-1997), and Thistledown (2001). Kirk Checkwood is the guitars, bass, keyboards, programming, and noise portion of sadsometime. Kevin Checkwood is the drums and programming portion of the band.
