Comprised of more than a handful of musicians by music scholar John Reynolds of Edinburgh, Black Medicine could steal the show on any chill-out compilation, recalling the moody M.O. of Zero 7 and often tribal melancholy of Massive Attack.
Songwriter John Reynolds has used his position as manager of Edinburghs
leading music facility, and pulled together the finest bunch of musicians the
city has to offer, to bring you Black Medicine.
Formed in summer 2004 Black Medicine have taken a while to get the line up sorted due to such a huge choice of players, but the formula is right now and the band are ready.
John plays bass and writes tracks for the band to add their expertise in the
form of :
Trombone
Guitar
Drums
Percussion
Sexy vocals
Turntables.
These compliment each other using the deep respect each person has for one
another and for the bigger picture.
The band has been gigging around Central Scotland and on one occasion
supporting ex - "Bhundu Boy", Rise Kagona. at The Liquid Rooms in
Edinburgh.
10-track album is on the way so you better be ready!
Pick a satisfying drink and take it easy as you listen to some of the tracks.
