The Sim Redmond Band, a quartet from Ithaca, New York brings you earthy rhythms rooted in reggae, folk, and world music. With persistent touring and energetic live shows, they have quickly amassed a sizable following since their inception in early 1999.

The magical chemistry began when singer/guitarist Sim and his brother Asa, the drummer of the group, were joined by bassist Dan Merwin, 2nd guitarist Jordan Aceto and vocalist/songwriter Uniit Carruyo. Described as "roots rock with an African twist" the band's warm vocal harmonies, bouncing grooves and beautifully interwoven guitar lines have become a recognizable sound that continues to attract new fans far and wide.

Well established in the NY-PA area, Sim Redmond Band has recently become a huge hit in Japan getting radio play on three major stations and leaving for their fourth mini tour of the "land of the rising sun" in October of this year.

SRB, as they are commonly known, released their fourth record entitled Shining Through on Ithaca's artist run, cooperative label I Town Records last year. Putting a pop sheen on their trademark roots/world sound the band continues to impress with heartfelt lyrics and a deeply honest sound that will have you moving your body and opening your heart.
