Look out, No Doubt. On "Wasting My Time," The Wedgewoods manage to pull off a feisty hybrid of punk-pop and ska with girlish vocals courtesy of Jane Kehler and a tight little horn section. Bully-boy backing grunts keep the proceedings from getting too precious.

Formed from members of Whole Lotta Milka, Tuesday's Girl, Black Velvet and the Blue Beat, Combo Latino and many other Winnipeg groups, The Wedgewoods are a fine example of the new ska scene in Winnipeg. Known for their energetic live shows, three and four part harmony vocals and their clever song writing, the group is comprised of Jane Kehler (lead vocals), Greg Crowe (guitar, vocals), Cristien Lyons (bass, vocals), Patrick Keeler (sax, vocals), Darrin Oehlerking (trumpet), Dennis Gaudry (trombone) and Todd Talbot (drums).

Their self-titled debut CD has become a hot seller in the local ska scene and their name has been spreading across North America.
