Chibbsy started playing venues around Wollongong with his Metal band Trample (who were Music Oz top ten finalists last year) which gave him the opportunity to work with well known producer Stuart Stuart in Brisbane along with making many other well received recordings. He was also the founder of Harmonic (another local rock band) and has produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered popular local punk band “downshifts” debut album.

Chibbsy has always had a very open mind about all genres of music. He has a wide variety of music in his repertoire including Heavy Metal, Punk, Jazz, Acoustic, Electronic and of course Hip Hop.

He has shared the stage with acts such as Ozi Battler (from The Herd), The Drugs, Sick Puppies, Stella One Eleven, Jerk, Test Eagles, plus many more. With a love for Hip Hop that he has had from the first time he heard Beastie Boys when he was only three years old, he has decided to take this direction full time.

With his Debut CD, a collection of pure Aussie hip hop with a mixture of Reggae, Old School, Metal, Funk and Blues. It’s a very positive upbeat CD that stands out from most of today’s hip-hop artists. Chibbsy produced the entire CD and also played or programmed all instruments on the CD as well as writing all its lyrics.

All up this is an artist that can cover all ground on the musical field without it sounding to mixed up or confusing. Taking inspiration from acts such as Jurassic 5, Downsyde, The Herd, Hilltop Hoods and Beastie Boys, Chibbsy does something original with the long-lived genre Hip Hop.
