It's Chinese New Year, or "spring festival" as it is more properly called. This year it's more spring-like than ever, considering the relatively late holiday and this winter's unnaturally warm temperatures.

Warm as it might be, it isn't warm enough for my holiday. I'll be in Singapore for the next week visiting my wife's family and enjoying a little tropical thaw.

It's the Chinese year 4705, which means, I suppose, that the future has already arrived. I wish all readers happy holiday and a prosperous year of the golden pig.
