Singapore schools go high-tech

Posted by ooginlee
Singapore schools are going even more high-tech, with five schools identified for the first phase of the Government's FutureSchools initiative. The schools range from primary to secondary and are Beacon Primary, Hwa Chong Institution, Jurong Secondary, Canberra Primary and Crescent Girls.

Each school has its own implementations of IT. These include learning in 3D environments using head-on display and gloves to explore inside the human body, podcasting, and online learning portals. Some students will also be equipped with tablet PCs and PDAs, and work in a wireless campus.
