Creative sees red, Singaporeans supersonic walkers

Posted by ooginlee
Creative Technology seems to be losing its groove as it reported its fourth loss in five quarters. Things aren't quite looking up for the company as it recorded S$36 million loss for its fiscal third quarter, and said it would look to cut operating expenses by 17 percent.

There was also a 29 percent slump in MP3 sales for the quarter, shrinking its revenues by 18.5 percent to S$183.8 million for the quarter.

Meanwhile, Singapore topped the charts in a new survey--to find the fastest pedestrians in the world. According to an international study by Prof Richard Wiseman, with the aid of British Council researchers, Singaporeans took only 10.5 seconds to walk 18m, making us the fastest walkers in the world. It's a shame we didn't know this earlier, or we could have taught those lumbering elephant-like machines in The Empire Strikes Back to move their ass instead of getting entangled with the Speedwalker's ropes!
