Your face has 83 percent resemblance to Peking Roast Duck!

Presently in Japan, one of the hottest K-tai Web sites is Kaocheki, "Face checkie". Ah well, one of the silliest sites, I would say. By the way, you can't have access to this site unless you use a Japanese K-tai with Internet service (one of the three, i-mode, EZweb or Yahoo! K-tai).

Shoot your frontal self-portrait with K-tai camera, and send it to Kaocheki
site with e-mail. After a few seconds at most, the answer will come, telling you that you have certain percentage of resemblance to certain Japanese celebrity. Well? Absolutely tasteless and ridiculous, isn' it?

But, Japanese K-tai users obviously love this kind of tastelessness and ridiculousness very much. Since the start of Kaocheki site in April 2007, more than 30 million visitors have already tried it.

Your darling is too fat!

Posted by mobileojisan
Everybody loves to see your loved one shows a healthy appetite. Besides, in this affluent society, market foodstuff has become so tasty, so nutricious and so high-caloried that it would be rather difficult not to overeat. The result is, of course, that ubiquitous nemesis, obesity.

Yes, obesity is a real health hazard for your loved one, especially if you live in big cities. No chance to have a good sweltering exercise, no chance to walk kilometer after kilometer to visit your local pub. Cities are too convenient for bodily health.

The last struggle of fax

Posted by mobileojisan
You gotta fax machine still working quietly in your office?

Once upon a time, facsimili used to behave like queen of the office, only next to the king, the mighty Xerox copier. Well, those days have gone. Everybody still keeps a fax or two, but it's been sitting silently without spitting any incoming paper or gobbling up your precious manuscript.

The usurper, the all-conquering email, has stolen the role of grand-old dame from your rusty fax machine.

Watching a full movie on your mobile phone

Posted by mobileojisan
Watching movie on your K-tai terminal?

No problem. Everybody's watching video clips or music videos, and even YouTubes since quite a long time ago, though they've been damaging your financial well-being. You can't imagine how much those tiny video clips consume on their short time of play in terms of packet charge. Anyway, you are contributing quite a lot to raise the ARPU (average revenue per user). Phone operaters are very much pleased.

How about the full-size movie on your K-tai? Again, no problem. These days, an extra memory slot or two are provided to all mobile terminals. And some of those tiny SD, miniSD or microSD poststamps have enormous space in their thin bodies, offering 1, 2, 4 or even 8 gigabites! You can download a full movie to your PC, then to this memory card easily, and watch it leasurely while on your commuter train, right? Pretty cumbersome, but possible.

YouTube as a Kangaroo court

Posted by mobileojisan
It happened one night of October 2007. A car was hit by another vehicle. Though there was no injury, the car received exensive material damage. The culprit vehicle sped away and vanished into the night.

The driver of the car immediately reported to Takenotsuka police station, jurisdiction of the accident. Since he clearly saw the number plate of the hit-and-runner, everything looked to be a clear-cut case.

Automobile hit-and-run is absolutely nothing, except when somebody gets killed.

Police found the owner of the hit-and-run vehicle in no time. But the owner claimed that "oh, I had rented my car to one of my friends on that day. I had no idea what had happened".
