This digital camera, only ladies can apply

| Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z80, the lady's digital camera. A sensitive young man would not touch this PINK HEART in a million years! |
If you were a male member of that endangered species called Chauvinist porcus, you would be advised not to read this article any more. It could affect your blood pressure critically. Because otherwise male bastillon, or at least asexual domain of digital cameradom, has been finally violated by the invasion of a female camera. Yes, a digital camera exclusively bought and used by the fair sex.
This outrageousness is pushed forward by Casio Computer Co. that had started, also, the consumer digital camera market singlehandedly in 1995 by introducing its innovative QV-10.
Casio's Exilim series of compact digital cameras are not the bestsellers in Japan presently, but have been supported always by enthusiastic fans, er, mainly by female digital camera users. Therefore, it would be very much reasonable that Casio does a favor or two for its best core customers.
Exilim Zoom EX-Z80 is clad in shocking pink garment. Besides, there are five more color variants actually: Silver, blue, green, black and regular pink--all lady's favorite colors.
Its effective pixels are 8.1 million; more than enough if you are not a fashion photographer. Pros don't use compact digicams anyway. With 3d optical and 4d digital zooms, an image can be magnified up 12x altogether. Monitor screen: 2.6-inch TFT. Recording media: SDHC/SD card. All in all, these specs are rather mediocre and boring.
And present must-have feature of Japanese digital cameras (at least for non-professional models); automatic capture at the moment of a smile, or saying "cheese"! Ah well, if your child is a fretful type, you will have to wait for a prolonged time with your EX-Z80 in your hands. You have to sacrifice something for the newest technology, OK?
But why is this EX-Z80 a lady's camera, besides its sweet coloring? You understand immediately when you look at the TFT monitor screen while focusing. When your kid's face is brought into crisp focus, a PINK heart pops up on the focus frame And when not in focus, the heart mark breaks, yes, a broken heart.
You see? No sane male users want to be seen handling this pink EX-Z80 with pink heart flickering loudly. It could be his total character suicide.
EX-Z80 will be sold at around 30,000 yen (US$280). Release date, February 15.

If the pink camera is for women, what is for men? Do not men and women both already buy black, red, and gray cameras? Seems Chauvinism is on the other side right?

Dear hkgeoff,
Pink color does not matter, I guess. But don't you think that pink heart is a bit too much?
