There is no doubt that YouTube has been the best video-sharing destination for the Internet citizens. However, not everyone can read and understand English, which is especially true for a large portion of young Vietnamese users. The first, and possibly the only, video-sharing portal for the Vietnamese users, Clip.vn, comes in to fill that gap.

Since I have been using and enjoying my free membership on YouTube, I had no intention to try this site until curiosity made me today.

Surprisingly, I did not find any new or unique features from Clip.vn because it is a 90 percent clone of YouTube. It offers you such features as 100MB video upload limit (but no time limit as YouTube does), video clip filters by views, favorites and dates, community groups, tag searching and video user comments.

Even the interface quite resembles YouTube, which makes it easier for YouTube users like me to navigate and use the site.

I was quite impressed by the video upload status bar which details my upload speed and time to completion. However, I didn't feel loyal to this new site after this first discovery because its content is limited compared with the giantic YouTube site and the speed was sometimes quite slow (it took me one day on Clip.vn to have an email sent to my mailbox for verification).
