The famous Apple magazine, MacWorld, has been launched in Indonesia (in Bahasa Indonesia) this month. I had a quick check of the inside pages. Looks nice.

And it has an online edition, also, but there's no content so far, except for the site's background images.

Microsoft Corporation founder and chairman Bill Gates is scheduled to visit Indonesia on May 8 to 9, 2008. According to Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Aburizal Barkrie, Gates will be visiting Indonesia to reciprocate President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's tour of the Microsoft headquarters in Seattle last year.

Last week, Indonesian users suddenly either could not view or upload videos onto YouTube, Google's online video-sharing service. The country's Government already blocked YouTube, targeting the 17-minute Fitna which splices images of terrorist attacks with quotes from the Koran.

During two days, there were two Web sites hacked, apparently in reaction to Indonesia's new online pornography law. The official Web site of the Communications and Information Ministry was hacked for several hours Thursday and the Golkar Party's official Web site was defaced Friday.
