My farewell post
Posted by budipFor those who may not have noticed, let me tell it a bit here. I decided back then in March 2007 to quit my job as a journalist and become a full-time blogger (mostly as a freelancer for some tech sites like SlashPhone, iPhoneBuzz and PhoneMag), and to run a blog network called Asia Blogging Network.
Actually, I love "my job" as a blogger. But now, after more than 2.5 years, I've decided to take on another challenge that is still in line with my passion: Joining Yahoo! The giant company hired me to handle Yahoo! Indonesia as country editor. As the role's name suggests, my responsibility is much more related to the Front Page, editorial and community. I am currently based in Singapore for a couple of months, while helping to set up the Jakarta office and prepare the Indonesian editorial team. That's why I have been flying back and forth to Indonesia.

Due to this new role, I have to leave my professional blogging activities behind, including as a blogger for CNET Asia, though I'll still be blogging at my personal blog. The good news is, veteran blogger Vishnu Mahmud will be back to take over this blog! When I suggested Vishnu for the role, Juniper emailed back: "Gosh, you guys are taking turns."
Well, thanks, Pak Vish, for taking over (or taking back) the cockpit!
Thanks also to all the bloggeres on the CNET Asia community and passionate readers. I'm gonna miss you all. However, I will continue to keep up with the blogs and stories here at CNET Asia since I've been a big fan of the brand before I even joined the fast-growing CNET Asia blogger community.
So, Pak Vishnu, I'll leave this in your good hands. Please welcome back Vishnu Mahmud, a self-proclaimed lonely gamer! :-)
