Finally, RIM to open BlackBerry center In Indonesia

Posted by budip
Research in Motion, commonly known as RIM, is preparing to open an aftersales service center in Indonesia after the Government halted the issue of licenses for the company's new devices. It's a logical step for RIM to secure its "magic business" in the world's fourth-most populous country.

The company, in an emailed statement, said it is "in the process of arranging for a RIM-authorized repair facility to be opened in Indonesia in the near term. This repair facility will expand RIM's existing aftersales service capabilities and support the growing sales of BlackBerry smartphones by RIM's partners in Indonesia".

Just in time for the booming Indonesian stock market too! The Canadians are devious opportunists, aren't they? :-) Frankly I'm not impressed with Blackberries. In terms of user friendliness, they're way behind the iPhones. To each his own, I guess.
