Are you a travel blogger? Win a free trip to Indonesia!

Posted by budip
As a part of the upcoming Pesta Blogger, Indonesia's blogger gathering committee and the Ministry of Cultural and Tourism will invite five foreign bloggers on a round trip to Yogyakarta and Bali. The trip will end up with the Pesta Blogger event in Jakarta, on Saturday, November 22, 2008.

The bloggers are from the US, China/Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and Malaysia.

Here's what the committee is offering:
We are looking for bloggers (travel bloggers) who can post their experiences, photos, people they meet, basically blogging about Indonesia and Indonesian people, to join the event.

The period for this trip is between November 17 and November 22, 2009, and this is the itinerary:

The blogging trip schedule is as follows:
  • Denpasar, Bali (Monday, November 17-Tuesday, November 18)

  • Jogjakarta (Wednesday, November 19-Thursday, November 20)

  • Jakarta (Friday, November 21-Saturday, November 22)

All expenses for this trip (transportation, accommodation, F&B, etc.) will be covered by Pesta Blogger 2008 and The Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Last year, the first Pesta Blogger, the largest nationwide bloggers' gathering in Indonesia, attracted more than 500 bloggers and blogging enthusiasts from across the archipelago. This year, according to Wicaksono, chairman of Pesta Blogger 2008, the committee is expecting to double the number of participants to 1,000.

If you are a travel blogger (I guess culinary bloggers are also encouraged to submit their applications), you have a chance to win this free trip. Yay!

Check this out for more details.

Salaam,
Ah thats too good an offer, but pity i havn't been to Bali, the place Indonesia is famus for.
But must appreciate this unique step taken by Indonesian Government for promoting tourism.
It would be nice if other countries in the region introduce such programmes.

Dear Guwahati, thanks for commenting. Yeah, it's such good collaboration between Government and bloggers to promote Indonesian tourism and cultures. They called it the "Blogging Trip". Cool.
