Indonesia's spectacular moves on blogosphere
Posted by budipThere are four blogging cities in Asia.
Interestingly, the region has four representatives: Jakarta, Beijing, and Mumbai; special for Singapore, this small country with massive people and technology stands on the second level. Three other cities are on third.
Since Indonesia has poor Internet connection, this news was really a big surprise for me (and I think for most the country's Internet users). So, poor Internet access doesn't always mean Indonesia should left behind in blogging activities.
That's all? No. There is another good news: According to WordPress.com statistics (June 2007), Bahasa Indonesia is one of the top languages used by WordPress.com users.
This is a great news, of course. I believe that there are new blogs created everyday (self-hosted, or using blog services) by people in Indonesia.
There are more than 30,000 active blogs in the country today, and I think that amount will be doubled next year.
