Welcome to the Republic of the Communicator!
Posted by budipIn the recent decade, Nokia has always chosen Jakarta as the first city to launch each Communicator series globally.
The historical journey of the Nokia Communicator began in September 1996 with the launch of the first Nokia Communicator--the Nokia Communicator 9000--which had also resulted in the conception of a community of loyal Nokia Communicator users that are known today as the Communicator Community.
Today, the Communicator Community boasts a membership of more than tens of thousands of users and still continues to grow.
According to Mathia Nalappan, VP Sales Nokia Enterprise Solution, Asia Pacific, who attended the Gathering today, Indonesia is the largest Communicator Community in the world. "The passion of the Nokia Communicator users here is truly amazing," he said.

The Nokia Communicator is the flagship product from Nokia's Enterprise Solution, which had launched five generations of the Nokia Communicators within the past decade, starting with the Communicator 9000, followed by the Communicator 9110/9110i and the Communicator 9210/9210i, to the latest trio of Communicator 9500/9300/9300i.
Sophisticated product features are merely one of many contributing factors to the success of the Nokia Communicator in Indonesia, as Hasan Aula, country manager, Nokia Indonesia, highlighted: "The success of the Communicator in Indonesia can be contributed to the 4Cs: Competency, Creativity, Care dan Community."
The Communicator Community itself is a non-profit organization that is "from users, by users, and for users". The Community members regularly communicate online, be it through a mailing list or chat groups, and meet regularly through events held routinely at major cities.
"This community forum allows us to listen to the needs of Communicator users, which we then use to develop new solutions," explained Kendro Hendra, managing director of inTouch Wireless Services, who is known as Nokia's partner in market development and the Communicator user-support entity in Indonesia.

At this celebration, Nokia Indonesia also launched its quarterly magazine titled Community, which serves as an informative medium for all community members. The magazine will feature relevant information such as applications designed to maximize the product's efficiency and effectiveness to various activities held by the Nokia Communicator communities.
Furthermore, the magazine will also feature management information delivered by market experts and also the profile of famous people who areCommunicator users.
"The creation of this magazine is one form of Nokia Indonesia's support for the Communicator community as Nokia Indonesia is committed to supporting and developing this community," added Hasan.
To maintain a long time-brand is, indeed, not easy. Ten years, of course, is not a short time. However, Nokia has proved that its Communicator brand has successfully shaped a significant milestone in the contemporary marketing history of Indonesia as well as the world.
