WWE pro wrestler Chris Jericho tweets visit to Philippines for SmackDown/ECW tour

Professional wrestler Chris Jericho has been posting Twitter updates on his Philippine visit for World Wrestling Entertainment's SmackDown/ECW Live house show that will be held tonight at the Araneta Coliseum.
Jericho, who is @IAmJericho on Twitter, arrived in the Philippines yesterday from Japan, where they also held shows as part of the SmackDown/ECW Live tour in Asia. The Philippine visit was made possible in partnership with Jack TV, the cable channel that airs WWE programming in the country.
Here's what Jericho posted on his way to the Philippines:
Jericho was referring to the infamous Beatles visit to the Philippines for a concert at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium on July 4, 1966. Here's an account of the controversy that ensued, involving The Beatles and the late Philippine president Ferdinand E. Marcos and then First Lady Imelda Marcos. Until now, though, there are conflicting accounts on what really happened, so bear that in mind when you read the story.
Interestingly enough, some pro wrestling Web sites have been reporting that Jericho was "held at the airport" in the Philippines, based on this tweet from Jericho:
I would assume this is part of the safety measures being taken against A(H1N1).
What's funny is that a few hours later, Jericho posted a hilarious tweet putting the blame on fellow WWE pro wrestler The Miz, who is on the Raw brand which is having its own tour in Australia:
As you can see, The Miz is also on Twitter and the two have been trading mock insults, like this response to Jericho's post about the Beatles incident 43 years ago:
To those who unfamiliar with the scripted world of professional wrestling, wrestlers are sometimes also in character even in public--especially if they're being interviewed by publications and "cutting a promo". Jericho and The Miz actually both play heels on their respective shows, a "heel" being the term used to describe a wrestler playing a villainous character, as opposed to the hero character or "face" (short for "babyface").
While pro wrestling matches are scripted, these performers are real athletes who risk their health to entertain viewers with their daredevil moves. In fact, one of the biggest WWE stars, Edge, who happens to be one of my favorite wrestlers along with Jericho, is expected to be out of action for months after recently undergoing surgery for a torn Achilles tendon.
Ironically, Edge and Jericho, two of the most decorated WWE pro wrestlers, just won the WWE Unified tag team belts at the company's recent pay-per-view event.

@mikethemiz Turns out we were detained at the airport cos Miz is wanted for molesting Philipino livestock. He is not welcome back here..
