Chinese dudes build full-size Transformer!
Posted by RickMI know I'm probably posting too much--first about China's iPhone non-sightings, then on Arstechnica's ridiculous misreport. But when I saw this on virtualchina.org, I just had to go out and find some more photos. Some dudes down in Nanjing just built a full-size Transformer! Costing US$8,000 and weighing in at a hefty 600kg--well, you just gotta see this sucker for yourself. Here are the pics (UPDATE, and a video or two.

And they call this a Transformer? Oh come on, it doesn't even transform. Check out this one, www.youtube.com...
Or check out some costume transformers for a laugh at www.youtube.com...

This one was built from a Citreon. And yes, the yellow is a bit off. But way impressive nonetheless, I think.
@xiaoxiong: That little Japanese Transformer is way cool!
The second video is even cooler. The Optimus Prime must have been really hard to do. I can say that because me and my younger brother built one for Halloween about 3 years ago. I wish I could dig up the pictures!

"Not that I enjoyed the film too much (let's take it from the positive side: if Michael Bay can be a director, then who can't?), but this story (found by Rick Martin's Little Red Blog) is spectacular enough. Somebody in Nanjing got bored (probably had a bit of leasure time after playing an extra in one of the 25 Nanjing Massacre versions to be filmed on location..."
