The Bruneiandroid Codefest workshop, initiated by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) and supported by the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), concluded last Friday.

The workshop witnessed the results of Brunei's pioneer Android developers. The attendees included a mixed group of young and old, students and professionals, private-sector and public-sector participants. This was the first time AITI had championed such an activity.

The Bruneiandroid Codefest, in parallel with the Google Android Developer Challenge hosted by the Authority Info Communication Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AiTi), supported by the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), was held at the Faculty of Science, UBD, last Friday, February 15, 2008.

The Codefest was structured as two workshops--one last Friday, the other next Friday, February 29. There were presentations by AiTi and experts, a hands-on experience in developing Android applications, and a wrapup workshop for knowledge sharing.
